High-performance floor coating
High chemical resistance and mechanical strength, for medium-high traffic.
Colours
Can be produced in many colours, matched to any colour chart.
Uses
Used for many years for coating residential, commercial and industrial floors.
It makes an excellent protective coating for car workshops, garages, machine shops, plant rooms, warehouses, shops and high-traffic areas, whether foot or vehicle.
High chemical resistance makes it particularly suitable for all flooring likely to come under chemical attack from fuels, oils, chemicals and sewage.
Performance
This is a hi-tech, high-quality coating:
- it is very hard and chemical resistant
- scratch and abrasion resistant
- withstands the movement of trolley-mounted equipment
- it is also an excellent corrosion inhibitor
Treatment of surfaces to be coated
Surface preparation varies depending on the state of the substrate.
Whatever the case, always make sure the surface is clean and remove dirt, dust and all traces of grease and moisture.
If the floor is already coated or tiled, treatment may involve removing the existing covering or using abrasion to promote better adhesion.
Application
The product is easy to apply by roller or spraying.
When applying by roller, make sure you spread the product well, applying a number of coats by cross-rolling to produce an even thickness and avoid leaving any areas uncoated.
When spraying, use traditional airmix or airless spraying systems at low pressure, with nozzles measuring between 1.5 and 2.0 mm.
Final thickness will vary depending on the floor’s absorption: from 50 microns for surfaces that are not very absorbent, to 200 microns on coarser surfaces.
The product dries slowly, in approx. 6-8 hours. It can only take foot traffic once it has been left to cure for at least 4 days.
