Approved by large shipyards for coating small furnishings.

Other applications include cases for eyewear and electronics.

Performance

The product has become popular due to its excellent performance in terms of:

• adhesion to various different plastic polymers
• elasticity
• mechanical strength and chemical resistance
• light stability

Treatment of surfaces to be coated

All materials to be coated must be thoroughly clean, free from dust and release agents.

Surfaces must be cleaned using antistatic and anti-silicone detergents.

If the surface is excessively shiny and reflective, it’s best to sand it first to promote better adhesion.

Application

Both products must be applied by spraying with normal airmix or airless equipment, with air pressure set to 3-4 bar and fitting the spray gun with nozzles measuring between 1.2 and 1.5 mm.

The system comprises two products:

• a primer to be overcoated
• a topcoat

The topcoat must be applied over the primer once it has dried thoroughly

Both products air-dry at ambient temperature; the primer takes 30 minutes, the topcoat 60 minutes.
