High temperature, Water-based air-drying coating, heat resistant to 500°C

Non-toxic and non-flammable, odourless and totally solvent free.

Heat and colour stability up to 500°C. Very matt, for interior applications only

Colours

Can be produced in many different black and grey versions, through to colours like orange, blue, yellow, brown, red, green and purple, in addition to a limited number of metallic versions.

The gloss level is consistently very low, below 10.

Uses

This is a very special coating, developed for niche applications in the field of science and other specialist areas. Nonetheless, applications also include industrial use on small flue system parts and medical implements.

Treatment of surfaces to be coated

In order to achieve perfect adhesion, the substrate must be cleaned to remove all traces of dirt, grease and dust and the degree of adhesion will depend on the quality of the surface to be coated.

When dealing with metals that have a particularly shiny and reflective surface finish, therefore, it’s best to start by abrasive blasting or sanding to promote better adhesion.

Application

Apply by spraying only, with airmix or airless equipment, using spray nozzles measuring between 1.2 and 1.5 mm and with air pressure set to 3-4 bar.

To achieve the desired results, the coating must be applied in an even film no more than 30 microns thick.

Dries quickly at ambient temperature.
