Performance
The following aesthetic and technical properties make this a highly attractive product:
- adhesion to a variety of metals
- excellent elasticity
- scratch and abrasion resistance
- good chemical resistance
- protection against corrosion
Treatment of surfaces to be coated
The metal to be treated must be thoroughly clean, free from residual machining swarf, dirt, grease and dust.
Surfaces must be cleaned using solvents or degreasing detergents.
The best way to promote optimum adhesion is by abrasive blasting or sanding the substrate, especially when dealing with stainless steel or other metals that have a smooth and reflective surface.
Application
The two products must be applied by spraying only, employing normal airmix or airless equipment, using nozzles measuring between 1.2 and 1.5 mm and with spray pressure set to 3-4 bar.
One product serves as a primer and must be overcoated with the topcoat once dry.
Both products air-dry at ambient temperature.
The primer takes approx. 30-40 minutes to dry, while the topcoat dries more slowly and takes approx. 60-70 minutes.
