High temperature, Baked clear coating, heat resistant to 300°C.
Excellent gloss finish for metal, features excellent elasticity and good chemical resistance.
Colours
Available in clear only, with gloss finish.
Uses
Used as a topcoat for engine parts and exhaust systems on motorcycles, small farm and industrial machinery and in small-scale aviation.
More generally speaking, it is suitable for coating metalwork subjected to operating conditions where temperatures are not very high and environmental conditions that are not particularly harsh.
Performance
This technology has proved very popular due to its:
- excellent quality/price ratio
- extensive field of use
- superior elasticity and good heat resistance
Treatment of surfaces to be coated
If the surfaces to be treated are not smooth and reflective, simply make sure they are perfectly clean. Remove dirt, grease, dust and any other residues.
When the standard of the surface finish is of greater importance and when dealing with metals such as brass and copper, it is always best to pretreat the substrate by abrasive blasting or sanding.
Application
This finish is to be applied by spraying only, to a thickness not to exceed 40 microns. Oven bake at a temperature of at least 130°C for 45 minutes minimum.
Apply with normal airmix or airless spray guns, using nozzles measuring between 1.0 and 1.5 mm and with air pressure set to 3-4 bar.
