Features great adhesion, chemical resistance and mechanical strength. Excellent elasticity, idea for outdoor use.
Colours
Can be produced in various different gloss or matt shades of orange, blue, yellow, brown, red, green and purple.
Versions can also be produced with metallic finishes of varying intensity.
Uses
This is a highly attractive hi-tech finish that finds application, above all, in the household heating sector, for stoves and fires, flue accessories and kitchen components. Its remarkable colour stability and excellent mechanical performance make it suitable for applications on engines, braking systems and other car and motorcycle parts.
Performance
The product’s exceptional features include:
- colour stability up to 300°C certified by the manufacturer
- heat resistance up to 500°C
- hardness and scratch and abrasion resistance
- unbeatable chemical and corrosion resistance
Treatment of surfaces to be coated
Metals such as commercial steel and aluminium, which do not have a particularly smooth or reflective finish, do not need any surface pretreatment other than a good clean to remove dirt and grease.
If, on the other hand, the surfaces to be coated are shiny, it’s important to scuff them first by abrasive blasting or sanding to promote better adhesion.
Application
The product is best applied by spraying, with airmix or airless equipment, fitting the gun with a nozzle ranging from 1.2 to 1.7 mm and with air pressure set to around 4 bar. It’s essential to apply the coating as thinly as possible, never exceeding 40 microns. Oven bake at a temperature of 180°C for 45 minutes minimum.
