High temperature, Baked metallic zinc-based coating, heat resistant to 750°C
Excellent corrosion inhibitor, good overcoatability. Excellent adhesion, elasticity and chemical resistance.
Colours
Available in classic matt metallic zinc grey only.
Uses
Used in all coating systems that prescribe the use of baked zinc-rich primers.
Excellent for anticorrosive silicone coating systems used on motorcycle exhaust systems and industrial metalwork exposed to very aggressive environments.
Performance
This is a well known product valued for the following superior features:
- heat resistance certified by the manufacturer
- anticorrosive properties
- scratchproof properties, elasticity and chemical resistance
- good overcoatability
Treatment of surfaces to be coated
This coating requires the surface to be thoroughly clean, hence make sure you remove residual machining swarf and all traces of dirt, grease or dust.
Abrasive blasting and sanding may be required if the material to be coated has a very smooth and reflective surface finish.
Application
Apply by spraying, using airmix or airless equipment, with air pressure set to 3-4 bar and a spray gun nozzle ranging from 1.2 to 1.7 mm.
The product must be oven baked, at a temperature of at least 180°C for 50 minutes.
It can be overcoated as soon as it has cooled. It can be used for “wet on wet” systems, with Sokema heat-resistant finishes only.
It must be applied in a thin film, which must never exceed 30 microns.
