Highly chemical resistant coating for concrete
Air-drying two-pack product.
Superior hardness, elasticity and mechanical strength.
Colours
Can be produced in many different colours, matched to any colour chart.
Uses
A popular product used for over 20 years by large groups in the construction industry, for treating the inside of pipes and concrete items due to contain corrosive sewage from municipal, industrial and agricultural sources.
Also used for the corrosion protection of underground metal pipes carrying gas and hydrocarbons.
Performance
It has become popular over the years due to its excellent performance in terms of:
- high chemical resistance
- anticorrosive properties
- mechanical strength and elasticity
- high performance
- ease of application
- bonus excellent adhesion to metal
Treatment of surfaces to be coated
It’s important to make sure the surfaces due to be coated are thoroughly clean.
Cement-based surfaces must be as dry as possible, sound and fairly free from dust, which could compromise the product’s adhesion.
When dealing with commercial metals, such as steel and aluminium, which do not have a particularly smooth surface, simply degrease with a solvent or suitable detergents.
If you are coating stainless steel or other difficult metals, it’s always best to abrasive blast or sand the surface thoroughly to promote maximum adhesion.
Application
For best technical results and a high standard of finish, apply by spraying, employing normal airmix or airless spray guns, using nozzles measuring 1.7 mm or more and with air pressure set to 4-5 bar.
It can also be applied easily enough by roller or brush, applying the product evenly to avoid leaving any area of the surface uncoated.
The thickness to be applied varies depending on the quality of the substrate: it can range from a minimum of 70 microns for very smooth surfaces, to over 300 microns on very coarse or unfinished surfaces.
It air-dries quickly at ambient temperature in approx. 40 minutes.
