Air-drying two-pack coating for glass
Topcoat for interior use or primer for exterior coating systems.
Good hardness and excellent adhesion and resistance to water and chemicals
Colours
Can be produced in many different colours, in both opaque and semi-opaque versions, including metallic colours, with a semi-gloss finish.
Uses
Used as a topcoat for glass in design and home furnishings, for large expanses of glass, glass block structures and small objects.
In industry and construction, it finds application as an overcoatable etch primer, not just for glass, but for ceramics and fibreglass as well, for coating systems that are required to withstand exposure outdoors.
Performance
Serves as both a topcoat and primer as it features:
- direct adhesion to glass, ceramics and fibreglass
- attractive aesthetic appearance
- elasticity and chemical resistance
- good overcoatability with many other finishes
Treatment of surfaces to be coated
All surfaces to be coated must be thoroughly clean and dry. Cleaning can be carried out with suitable detergents or quick-drying solvents.
Though not strictly necessary, it’s best, where possible, to abrasive blast surfaces to promote better adhesion.
Application
Apply by spraying only, with normal airmix or airless systems, using guns fitted with nozzles measuring between 1.0 and 1.7 mm and with air pressure set to 3-4 bar.
Ideal thickness ranges from 20 to 40 microns, being careful to apply the product evenly to avoid unsightly dripping or build-up, especially when using semi-clear versions.
Dries at ambient temperature in approx. 30-40 minutes. If used as a primer, follow the same application procedure and drying time guidelines. Overcoatable at least 3 hours after flash-off.
