Uses

This coating serves multiple business sectors, from rail to aviation, from the metal industry and structural steel fabrication to agriculture and construction.

Successfully used for frames, piping, industrial machinery and sanitary fittings, for coating systems that prescribe the use of water-based products.

It can also be used as a topcoat, for items not exposed to harsh environmental conditions.

Treatment of surfaces to be coated

Clean substrates thoroughly, removing traces of grease and dirt. Cleaning can be carried out with degreasing detergents or quick-drying thinner.

This is usually enough to ensure good adhesion.

When coating metals that have a smooth, reflective surface, it’s best to abrasive blast or sand the surface with a fine grit.

Application

Apply by spraying using airless or airmix equipment. Use spray nozzles measuring between 1.2 and 1.7 mm and air pressure set to 3-4 bar.

It can also be applied by roller or brush, applying the product carefully to produce an even thickness and a high standard of finish.

The thickness should be in the range from 30 to 50 microns.

Air-dries quickly at ambient temperature and can be overcoated after approx. 2-3 hours.
