Treatment of surfaces to be coated

The metal to be coated must be thoroughly clean, free from residual machining swarf and all traces of oil and moisture.

Cleaning can be carried out with solvents or degreasing detergents.

To promote better adhesion, especially on metals that have a very smooth surface finish, it’s best to treat surfaces first by abrasive blasting, sanding or brushing.

Application

Apply by spraying only, employing airmix or airless equipment and spray gun nozzles measuring between 1.2 and 1.7 mm, with air pressure set to 3-4 bar.

Take extra care with application, blending the product thoroughly to reach the maximum thickness of 30-40 microns.

Once applied, it air-dries at ambient temperature in 30-40 minutes.
