High-elasticity finish for rubbery and flexible materials
Excellent resistance to bending and torsion; also ideal for exposure outdoors.
Colours
This finish can be custom made in many different colours, with reference to international colour charts or to match a sample.
Uses
Special product, developed for treating rubbery and flexible surfaces, such as: rubber, leather, imitation leather and a variety of plastic polymers.
It’s used successfully to coat coverings and protective sheathing designed for industrial use, as well as machinery and sports equipment.
Valued finish for car and motorcycle upholstery, for repairing leather-clad items, clothing accessories and miscellaneous packaging.
It has recently been used to repair and customize sail surfaces.
Performance
New-generation system whose main features are:
- adhesion to a variety of materials
- extremely high elasticity, responding well to bending and torsion
- excellent sun and outdoor resistance
- chemical resistance
Treatment of surfaces to be coated
The product adheres directly to a variety of substrates.
As a general rule applicable to all, the surface must be thoroughly clean and sound. Sanding is a good way to promote better adhesion to materials that are particularly shiny and reflective.
For best results in terms of adhesion and elasticity, the product is best applied on top of the K901 Multiflex primer.
Application
Apply by spraying only, using airmix or airless equipment and spray nozzles measuring between 1.2 and 1.7 mm, with air pressure set to 3-4 bar.
The thickness of the film to be applied should be around 20-40 microns; the resulting film air-dries at ambient temperature in approx. 30-40 minutes.
It can also be cured in an oven or using other sources of heat: dry for 30 minutes at a maximum temperature of 50°C.
