Main features
Longstanding best seller known for its:
- resistance to impact with stone chips at 200 km/h.
- adhesion to metal, plastic and composites.
- hardness and elasticity.
- good chemical resistance.
- attractive aesthetic appearance.
Treatment of surfaces to be coated
The materials to be coated should preferably be clean, free from grease and dirt residues.
For metals, a good clean is enough to ensure excellent adhesion. Better performance is achieved by abrasive blasting or sanding the surface, especially when dealing with substrates like stainless steel, pressed aluminium and other metals with a smooth, shiny finish.
When dealing with plastic polymers and composites, make sure they are undamaged. Sanding or brushing are still the best methods for promoting optimum adhesion.
Application
Best applied by spraying to achieve as even a thickness as possible and to optimize aesthetic appearance.
The spraying equipment required consists in regular spray guns with nozzles measuring between 1.5 and 2.0 mm, with a compressed air supply set to 3-4 bar.
It can also be applied by brush or roller, but only where a high standard of finish is not required.
The product must be applied to form a coating over 150 microns thick, which can be achieved by applying 4-5 consecutive coats.
Dries at ambient temperature in approx. 40 minutes.
