Water-based peelable protective coating
Non-toxic, odourless and non-flammable.
Colour
Comes in perfectly clear.
Coloured finishes are currently undergoing testing.
Uses
Used as a protective coating for bodywork, on painted and unpainted surfaces, protecting them from dirt, wear, deterioration and light abrasion.
Main features
Forms a clear film offering resistance to:
- sun and weathering.
- aggressive substances and washing.
- wear and light abrasion.
Does not damage painted surfaces and can be removed easily.
Treatment of surfaces to be coated
Surfaces to be coated must be smooth and non-absorbent.
The only real requirement is that the surface be cleaned thoroughly, removing all traces of dirt, grease and moisture.
Do not apply on surfaces that are too cold or have been heated up by the sun.
Application
Apply by spraying to achieve a higher standard of finish in terms of transparency and even coverage.
The product must be applied to form a coating over 250 microns thick, which can be achieved by applying up to 5-6 continuous coats.
The spraying equipment required consists in traditional spray guns with nozzles measuring between 1.7 and 2.2 mm and an air pressure of 3-4 bar.
It can also be applied by brush or roller, but only if a high standard of finish is not a priority.
The resulting film air-dries at ambient temperature in approx. 60 minutes. It can be peeled off once the surface has been left to dry for at least 2 hours.
